My best friend Nidal wrote a brand-new song, and my dad and I got to listen to it for the very first time. Let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it! 🎤🎶
So, the video starts with my dad and me sitting on the couch, and Nidal looking all nervous (but still kind of confident, because, you know, he’s Nidal).
He told us how much this song means to him, and I could already tell it wasn’t just any song. It was personal. That made me a little emotional already—I mean, how could I not be proud of my best friend for putting his heart into his music?!
When the song started, I was SHOCKED. Like, literally, my jaw dropped. 😲 The melody was so beautiful, and the lyrics? Oh my gosh, they hit me right in the heart.
It wasn’t just a random song about life or love—it was about chasing your dreams, even when things get hard. The chorus had this amazing line about never giving up, and I swear, I almost cried.
I tried to hold it together, but my dad was like, “Wow, Salish, are you okay?” 😂
And Nidal’s voice? I already knew he was talented, but hearing him sing like that was next level. It was raw and real, and you could tell he meant every single word.
I kept looking over at him while the song played, and he just looked so happy. I don’t think I’ve ever been this proud of him. ❤️
By the time the song ended, my dad and I were clapping like crazy, and I told Nidal, “This is AMAZING. You need to release it right now!” He laughed and said, “You really think so?” (Like, of course I do, Nidal!) My dad even said, “I’m not just saying this—it’s one of the best songs I’ve heard in a long time.”
This song isn’t just music—it’s Nidal’s heart, and I’m so lucky I got to be one of the first people to hear it.
Nidal, if you’re reading this, never stop making music. You’re so talented, and I know the world is going to love this song as much as I do!
