Hi, everyone! It’s Salish, and today I’m taking you on a wild ride through EVERY first day of school I’ve survived.
(Spoiler alert: some of them were epic fails while others were awesome!) If you’ve ever had a chaotic first day, trust me, I’ve been there. From kindergarten to now, every year brings new surprises, new challenges, and, of course, new embarrassing moments my dad just LOVES to remind me of. 🙄
Let’s rewind to kindergarten—my very first day of school EVER. I was super excited, wearing this sparkly outfit I picked out all by myself. But then, disaster struck.
I spilled juice all over my shirt before I even got to class. I cried, of course, but my teacher was so sweet and helped me clean up. (Lesson learned: Don’t carry juice boxes near white clothes.)
Fast forward to middle school, and OMG, the first day was INSANE. I thought I was prepared, but I couldn’t figure out how to open my locker.
Seriously, I stood there for like 20 minutes while everyone else walked by. Eventually, my best friend came to the rescue (shoutout to the besties who save us from first-day disasters!).
This year’s first day of school? Well, it was next-level crazy because my dad decided to document EVERYTHING for his YouTube channel.
Great, right? Not embarrassing at all. (Kidding. It was totally embarrassing!) He filmed me getting ready, showing off my backpack, and even walking into school. Talk about pressure!
Here’s the twist, though: every first day of school isn’t just about surviving the awkward moments or remembering your schedule. It’s about starting something new, meeting new people, and growing a little bit every year.
And this year, I totally rocked it! I made it through all my classes, didn’t spill anything (yay me!), and even made a new friend in math.
At the end of the video, my dad tried to call me out for being nervous, but I turned the tables.
I reminded him that HE’S the one who gets emotional every year, crying when I walk through the school doors. (Seriously, Dad, who’s the one freaking out here?)
So, there you have it—every first day of school, survived! No matter how scary or messy it gets, I’ve learned that each one is a new adventure. Bring it on, next year—I’m ready for you! 💪🎒
